About Katie Poyasov — Registered Naturopathic Nutritionist UK

BSc (Hons), Dip NT(CNM), mBANT, mANP, rCNHC

“I became a nutritional therapist because I saw first-hand how food can transform health.”

I’m Katie Poyasov — a BANT-registered naturopathic nutritional therapist (BSc Hons, DipCNM, mBANT, mANP, rCNHC) and the founder of Naturalpaths Nutrition. I qualified at the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) in London after a first degree in Biology and Optometry & Visual Sciences, which gave me a clinical-science foundation in how the body’s systems interconnect.

Today I work with women across the UK and internationally — both in person and online — who are tired of being told their symptoms are “normal,” “stress,” or “just hormones.” I specialise in three connected areas that drive the majority of chronic complaints: gut health, women’s hormone balance, and blood sugar / metabolic health. Get those three working, and the things people really want — energy, clearer skin, easier weight management, calmer mood, fewer cravings, lower inflammation, better sleep, stronger immunity, and the long-term healthspan and longevity needed for a long, active, sharp-minded life — tend to follow.

My approach blends evidence-based naturopathic nutrition with functional medicine testing (DUTCH hormones, GI-MAP, organic acids, nutrigenomic DNA, food intolerance panels) so that every recommendation is rooted in your biochemistry rather than guesswork. I work alongside your GP and specialists where appropriate, never instead of them.

Qualifications & credentials

How I work with clients

Every client I work with gets a plan that’s actually theirs — not a template. Here’s how that comes together:

01. Deep-dive case-taking

Before our first full session you complete a comprehensive health questionnaire and food diary. I review every system: digestion, hormones, energy, sleep, stress, mood, skin, immunity, family history. Symptoms aren’t the disease — they’re the body’s way of telling us where the imbalance is.

02. Functional testing where it changes the plan

I’ll only recommend a test if the result will genuinely shift what we do. Depending on your picture, that might be a GI-MAP stool test (gut), a DUTCH hormone test (sex and stress hormones), an organic acids test (mitochondrial and nutrient status), a DNA / nutrigenomic panel, or a food intolerance / IgG panel.

03. A personalised, phased protocol

You’ll get a clear, step-by-step plan covering food, targeted supplementation, lifestyle and (where relevant) movement and stress-management practices. I work in moderation — gradual changes you can actually keep, not a 30-day reset that collapses on day 31.

04. Regular follow-ups

Programmes run for 3, 6, 9 or 12 months with monthly reviews so we can adjust as your body changes and reach your goals together.

05. Working with — not against — conventional care

I collaborate with your GP, gynaecologist, endocrinologist or consultant where appropriate. Naturopathic nutrition complements medical care; it doesn’t replace it.
